Small and medium-sized businesses are encouraged to join the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program and take advantage of the V3 Employment Grant. This grant offers $1,000 to V3 Certified employers with 300 or fewer employees for each veteran they hire and retain for at least one year. The grant can also be applied retroactively, allowing businesses to apply for funds if they have veteran employees who have already reached the one-year mark.

Grant funds are awarded directly to the organization, and employers are encouraged to use some of the money to show appreciation for their veteran employees through bonuses, events, or other recognition.
