DESCRIPTION:The  Festival is a tribute to Rappahannock County native John Jackson and his Piedmont Blues legacy. Jackson was a recipient of a 1986 National Heritage Fellowship awarded by the National Endowment for the Arts\, which is the United States government's highest honor in the folk and traditional arts.\n\n\n\nAnother musician featured for our event if Phil Wiggins\, as stated on his website "Phil is a versatile traditional harmonic player\, with a gentle and melodic blues Style. He is the two time winner of the prestigious WC Handy award. Regularly ranked among the world's top harmonica players in both Reader and Critics polls by Living Blues magazine\, his is active as musician\, teacher\, and director.
