Her exhibition\, titled "Piece Work\," features wood piece assemblages. Creating them involves problem-solving\, arranging\, and finding the mystery in the newly created artwork. Barbara is an artist\, teacher\, and writer who received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts with a minor in Art History from the University of Maryland. She developed the first Artist-in-Residence Program at the University of Virginia's Cancer Center\, where she focused on the importance of creative self-expression. She also started art programs for Virginia Neuro Care and Play Partners (a division of Children\, Youth\, and Family Services) in Charlottesville\, Virginia. Currently\, Barbara is the artist-in-residence at MAD Arts in Madison\, Virginia\, where she teaches and exhibits her artwork. She is interested in a wide variety of media\, from drawing to watercolor\, acrylic\, collage\, as well as jewelry\, assemblage\, photography\, and more.\n\n \n\nARTIST'S STATEMENT: Art is not only a very important part of my life it is my life.
