DESCRIPTION:You are invited to our First Annual "Culpeper Men Care".  \n\n \n\n\n\n \n\nDescription:    This is our Male involvement outreach for Early Childhood and Adolescent Programs.  This is the first year that we will be hosting a holiday outreach for our children.  This is funded by donations and male involvement funding.  We are asking for men in our community\, agency and programs to help facilitate this event by joining in on the fun!  We will serve breakfast from 9-10 and then rotating activities including seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus!\n\n \n\nVolunteering opportunities for the day's event may include serving breakfast\, taking pictures of the event\, craft making with the children\, wrapping gifts with the children and great networking with other stakeholders in our community.  No need to bring a gift.  \n\n \n\nWe are hoping to accomplish three major goals:\n\n          Bring joy into the lives of these children.\n\n          Build a new bridge with volunteers in the community.\n\n          Kick off an even stronger Male Involvement Program for the New Year\n\n \n\nWhen:  Saturday\, December 21\, 2013.  The children arrive at 9:00 and event over at 11:00\n\n \n\nWhere:  1401 Old Fredericksburg Rd. \, Culpeper VA.\n\n            Our parking is limited but we will be offering a shuttle from Department of Human \n\nServices at 1835 Industrial Drive\,  Culpeper.\n\n \n\n \n\nHow:  Call with questions\, and sign up to volunteer today:  829-2124\n\n \n\nDetails:  We are serving 86 children/families enrolled in our Early Childhood Programs that attend pre-school at Galbreath Marshal.  These were selected as the "neediest" meeting the selection criteria.  Despite all of our Head Start children being at-risk\, low income and are at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines\, these selected families are even limited further in support systems such as extended family\, positive mentoring\, and in most cases positive male involvement.
