Book World Meets Wine World: Sharon Lyon

Book World meets Wine World, a benefit for the Literacy Council of Madison County on Friday, October 6th from 3:00 pm until sunset.

Geologist, paleontologist, scientist, teacher, the list goes on for Sharon Lyon and after retiring from science education she added another, author. Fossil Woman is Sharon’s first novel and it speaks to her many passions. Fossil Woman is the fictional story of determined Henrietta Ballantine. Set in the 1950’s, the novel discusses the challenges women faced during that time to achieve their dreams. A timely discussion to celebrate National Fossil Day!

Books will be available for sale and signing. Meet and greet the author and stay for a reading and presentation. A selection of wines and non-alcoholic verjus will be available for purchase. Reservations are not required to attend this event. Ten percent of sales from the tasting room on October 6th will be donated to the Literacy Council.
