The Culpeper Garden Club invites new and seasoned gardeners to a program on cut flower gardening. Claudia Vasquez, the owner of Azalea Field Flowers, a micro flower farm in Rapidan, will explain the growing cycle from seeds to vase: soil preparation, seed selection, planting, watering and harvesting. Claudia grows seasonal, specialty cut flowers for weddings, small events and local customers, with a focus on sustainable practices and supporting pollinators.
The program is free and visitors are encouraged. The meeting is at the Culpeper United Methodist Church. Parking is on the route Bus 29 side of the church building. Enter the building using the door on the far right. The program begins promptly at 2:00 PM.
