Earth Day!
Planet Earth is a special place. In 1970, Earth Day was created to show concern for the way we were treating the planet. Learners will learn about the planet and ways we can take care of it. They will make a special Earth craft to take home.
“Little Learners” is the museum’s interactive series of children’s programming that brings fun facts, objects, and activities out of the past!
The series is held monthly for children 2-5 years old. Each month will feature a different craft inspired by local history. Past programs have included drawing maps, construction paper traffic lights, and tissue paper basketballs!
A Parent/guardian must accompany their children.
This program is FREE thanks to a Power of Change grant from the Rappahannock Electric Cooperative.
THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO 15 CHILDREN. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
Participants may be photographed for use in museum promotional and marketing material.
