Join us at Revalation Vineyards for October's Sip & Learn. The presentation of The Black Tax: 150 Years of Theft, Exploitation, and Dispossession in America by Dr. Andrew Kahrl will start at 6:00. Dr. Andrew Kahrl is a professor of history and African American studies at the University of Virginia. He teaches courses on African American history, race and real estate, and U.S. urban history. He has written several books on African American history. He will be at Revalation Vineyards to discuss his newest book, The Black Tax: 150 Years of Theft, Exploitation, and Dispossession in America. In The Black Tax, Dr. Kahrl exposes the tax regimes that have disadvantaged African American property owners since Reconstruction. Come and mingle at 5:30.
