Overview

The Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) provides support and services to the social work regulatory community to advance safe, competent, and ethical practices to strengthen public protection.

ASWB is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to perform the role of Continuing Education Accreditation Program Manager in the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) department to oversee the ACE program. This role ensures that all continuing education (CE) providers meet the rigorous standards set by ASWB and that social work licensees demonstrate ongoing competency in regulated social work practice.

This position requires a focused, energized, and steady individual with a commitment to ensuring that social work licensees ongoingly demonstrate continuing competency in regulated social work practice. The Continuing Education Accreditation Program Manager is integral to upholding the rigorously constructed high standards of the association's ACE program. This position aligns with the association's strategic framework by ensuring that social work continuing education regulatory standards for social work licensees achieve the goal of protecting the public through social work continuing education.

This is NOT a fully remote position.

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Master of Social Work degree with a clinical social work license in good standing
  • Minimum of six years in professional social work practice with at least two years of experience in continuing education, training, or adult learning
  • Two to three years demonstrated experience in leadership and project management
  • Strong leadership skills, empathic, highly organized, and independently driven to accomplish program goals
  • Experience with database oversight
  • Ability to supervise all levels of social work licensure, as determined by jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of effective marketing and communication tools to share information and boost engagement
  • Excellent public relations skills: interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to include but not limited to effective and proactive team communication facilitation, problem solving, decision making, and public speaking
  • Knowledge of professional CE market and/or adult education development and management

ASWB uses a flexible, hybrid work model, allowing for approved remote work as warranted. While typical business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. are the norm, ASWB promotes a results-based approach to measures of productivity. Must have the ability to work remotely with access to high-speed internet as needed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties and business demands.
