About Us

Piedmont Peace Center (PPC) (formerly Piedmont Dispute Resolution Center) provides mediation, learning programs, and peacebuilding services. Mediation helps transform disputes into dialogue and is available for many situations, including custody, visitation, child support, parent-teen, landlord-tenant, consumer-merchant, elder care, divorce, education, neighborhood, and business. Mediators do not take sides or tell people what to do—t?hey are neutral and assist people in resolving issues. Learning programs include training and workshops in conflict, communication, restorative practices, and negotiations for children, youth, and adults. CHATS (Connecting Humans and Telling Stories) is PPC's facilitated process to deepen appreciation and understanding of others through conversations and activities—great for enriching community and building connections.? PPC's Restorative Justice Program works with victims of crime and offenders, providing a safe place to meet face-to-face to talk about the harm caused and repairing the harm.
