Colonial Allies Challenge Cup - Championship Match Sunday, August 24, 2025 | Liberty Hall Polo Club, Brandy Station, VA Hosted by Culpeper Minute Men Inc, this international polo event honors the Franco-American alliance and celebrates the Bicentennial of General Lafayette's visit to Virginia. This is not just a match-it's a tribute. The Colonial Allies Challenge Cup features combined teams of active-duty U.S. and French military officers, playing together in a spirited but friendly competition that commemorates our shared Revolutionary legacy. All proceeds support free educational programs in Culpeper schools and Culpeper History Week, including student materials, museum outreach, and community heritage events. Championship Match: Held at Liberty Hall's natural grass field amphitheater, a stunning venue with panoramic views and Revolutionary War roots. Ticket Options: VIP Hospitality Tent - Center Ridge seating, buffet lunch, hosted bar, cigar lounge, souvenir program, and parking pass. Mingle with living history figures-Lafayette, James Monroe, and James and Dolley Madison-while enjoying live period music. Costumes, military dress, or festive polo attire encouraged. Historic Venue: Liberty Hall is the ancestral home of Colonel John Green, who fought with Lafayette at Brandywine and wintered at Valley Forge. In 1825, the property was home to Moses Green, Virginia's Adjutant General during the War of 1812 and Lafayette's host during his Farewell Tour. It is believed that Lafayette passed by Liberty Hall on his way to Jeffersonton-perhaps even stopping for a cup of coffee.
