Living the Dream Foundation 5K Run & Walk for Hope
5th annual 5K Run and Walk for Hope at Yowell Meadow Park in Culpeper to help raise awareness of depression, substance abuse and suicide.
Join us for our 5th annual 5K Run and Walk for Hope at Yowell Meadow Park in Culpeper, Virginia on Saturday April 18th. Come and help us to raise awareness of depression, substance abuse and suicide in our community and let others know there is hope for treatment and support. Help us to honor the memory of our son, Ben Long who lost his battle with depression and heroin addiction by suicide on April 12, 2015. Run or walk in honor and support of friends and loved ones fighting depression, substance abuse and thoughts of suicide. Run or walk in memory of those that lost their battle.
Registration begins at 8:00 am at the park. Opening ceremony begins at 9:00 am. Awards for top three male runners and for top three female runners.
All proceeds stay in the community to fund educational workshops and awareness events including college scholarships for local seniors showing a desire to pursue a health care or social work career.
This year we will continue our "Virtual 5K" option. If you can't make it to Yowell Meadow Park on Saturday April 18th you can still be involved and "help make a difference". Just run or walk anywhere alone or with friends and share your short video on our Living the Dream Foundation Facebook page. Your tax deductible donation will help us to continue supporting awareness and educational programs in our community.
