Sip & Learn - Honoring Our Heritage: the Madison County African American Historical Association

Join us at 5 pm as Dr. Mesha Jones, MCAAHA president, and Nancy Garnett Williams, founder, introduce the association's work, including research programs, exhibitions, educational outreach, and special events. Highlights will include a review of the association’s “Silent Ground” initiative, commemorating an African American cemetery; genealogical research; the “Hometown Histories” program; and the development of a new exhibition: Striving for Excellence: A Century of African American Schools in Madison County.
