Communications Project Coordinator
Overview
The Association of Social Work Boards provides support and services to the social work regulatory community to advance safe, competent, and ethical practices to strengthen public protection.
The Communications Project Coordinator provides vital functions essential to multi-platform messaging and information flows. Reporting to the Marketing and Content Strategy Program Manager, the Communications Project Coordinator is charged with maintenance of the association's ongoing communications activities related to social media and newsletter / email marketing. More generally, the Communications Project Coordinator contributes to the Public Relations and Communications Strategy (PRCS) business plan and supports internal and external communications among staff, association members, partner organizations, licensure candidates, and other stakeholders in alignment with ASWB's culture, purpose, and values. The Communications Project Coordinator coordinates departmental deadlines and assists in the development of PRCS project tracking, social media content, creation and distribution of email campaigns, and maintenance of ASWB websites.
Instrumental in assuring information accuracy and content resonance, this position is responsible for supporting and facilitating communications projects across a variety of platforms including but not limited to project management (Basecamp); email marketing (Constant Contact); social media management (Sprout Social); Facebook; Instagram; LinkedIn; and WordPress. In collaboration with PRCS staff, the Communications Project Coordinator researches and recommends innovations in timing, format, and promotion of communications with regulatory stakeholders.
This is NOT a fully remote position.
Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related field preferred
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Experience in developing and publishing digital content and social media content
- Experience with digital platform management tools for email marketing and cross-platform social media publishing and reporting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar
- Strong writing, editing, and proof-reading skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively

ASWB uses a flexible, hybrid work model, allowing for approved remote work as warranted. While typical business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. are the norm, ASWB promotes a results-based approach to measures of productivity. Must have the ability to work remotely with access to high-speed internet as needed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties and business demands.
