General Labor/ Pipe Layer

General Laborer/ Pipe Layer assists in repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems.
*Willing to train motivated individuals* 
*Full or part time available*

Responsibilities:
-Work under the direct supervision of the project manager
-Responsible for general labor duties in addition to excavation for sewer and water pipe, drainage systems, and site utilities
-Unload and prepare tools, site materials, and set up equipment
-Use tools and equipment to complete daily tasks
-Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
-Ensure regulated and proper headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing are worn
-Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
-Safely operate a variety of power tools including pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, etc.
-Execute ditch work, including laying pipe and hand shoveling, to meet project requirements
-Digs, spreads and levels dirt, gravel or sand; and mixes, pours and spreads concrete and asphalt using hand tools
-Provide assistance to other employees as needed
-Clean and clear debris and materials
-Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly
-Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
-Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50 pounds); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching; crouching and crawling etc.
-Work is performed within the "red zone" of heavy equipment

Required Skills:
-Ability to perform multiple technical tasks to include operating equipment and power tools, labor skills in all seasons, lift over 50 pounds, hand dig to expose underground utilities, and adhere to safety practices.
-Ability to work in environments exposed to sewer smells, extreme weather conditions, extended hours if needed, exposure to dust and debris, etc.
