About Us
Dan Jenkins for Culpeper Town Council; VT political sci '09, GMU MRED '19, Home Inspector, Property Mngr, Legal Ast., Frmr. Teacher/Head Coach. Lower per. property, biz equip/tool, & dining taxes.
The campaign is centered on lowering personal property, business equipment/tools, and dining taxes while offering the town my background with degrees from VA universities: VT political science '09 and GMU MS real estate development '19 as well as my experience 5 years teacher/coach, 6 years as a Legal Assistant for Fairfax attorney James Towarnicky (won a State Supreme Court case a little over a year ago), 7 years as the property manager for 2 of the most successful beach houses in their competitive market (Corolla, NC), and currently working in residential appraisals from Petersburg, VA to Gaithersburg, MD making me very knowledgeable in regards to the housing market and broader real estate trends. I also serve on the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance Advisory Committee that is re-writing the Town Code for the first update in 30 years, and am related by marriage to former Town Councilman and later Mayor of Culpeper around 1896 (Sam Diener) when he was credited with the installation of the seven-mile-long iron-pipe water main which helped the Town grow; he also owned/operated a clothing store at 101 Main St.
