Living the Dream Foundation, Culpeper Police Department, and UVA Health to Host Depression and Substance Use Disorder Workshop
Culpeper, VA – The Living the Dream Foundation, in collaboration with the Culpeper Police Department and UVA Health, is hosting a Depression and Substance Use Disorder Workshop on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Culpeper Baptist Church (318 S. West St., Culpeper, VA).
This free event aims to provide valuable education, resources, and support for individuals and families affected by mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from leading professionals in the field, explore available community resources, and gain insights from a powerful law enforcement presentation.
Workshop Highlights:
- Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Discussion with Jennifer Hanni, MSN, RN, NE-BC, PMHC RN, CARN, HTI
- Community Resources Overview with Jeff Say, Manager of Community Engagement, UVA Health
- “Hidden in Plain Sight” Presentation by the Culpeper Town Police, an eye-opening session on recognizing warning signs of substance use in everyday settings
- Complimentary refreshments will be provided
The Living the Dream Foundation was founded in loving memory of Ben Long to support individuals and families affected by substance use disorder, depression, or suicide.
