New Beginnings Outreach Center in need of new ''Crisis Car''

Dear Friends and Supporters,

On the evening of June 4, our hearts shattered. Our beloved “Crisis Car”—the literal lifeline of our day center and our unsheltered neighbors—was involved in a serious accident. While we are profoundly grateful that everyone involved is safe, the vehicle itself was completely totaled. It is unsalvageable.

To anyone else, it was just a dented, high-mileage vehicle. But to the people we serve, that car was a rolling symbol of hope, survival, and human dignity. For some, it was the only proof they had that the world hadn’t entirely forgotten them.

The cruel reality of the past week and a half has been felt by us all. Since the crash, our day center has felt hollow, and the individuals we serve are paying the price. Without our vehicle, a devastating gap has reopened between our most vulnerable neighbors and the essentials they need to survive.

Whether it’s delivering life-sustaining supplies like food, clean water, blankets, and hygiene kits, or transporting individuals to out-of-area shelters, medical appointments, and job interviews, this loss has hit all of us hard.

The loss of this vehicle is a true emergency for our day center and programs. We urgently need to raise funds to purchase a reliable, pre-owned replacement so we can get back on the road and back to serving this community. WE CANNOT DO THIS ALONE
