Registration Now Open for the Haunted Hustle 5K & Spooky Sprint in Downtown Culpeper

CULPEPER, Va. — Lace up your running shoes and get ready for one of Culpeper's most spirited fall traditions! Registration is now officially open for the 2026 Haunted Hustle 5K & Spooky Sprint, taking place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Yowell Meadow Park.

Hosted by Culpeper Renaissance, Inc. (CRI), the Haunted Hustle welcomes runners, walkers, families, and community members of all ages for a morning filled with fitness, fun, and Halloween excitement.

The event kicks off with the Haunted Hustle 5K & Spooky Sprint at 10:00 a.m., a free kids' pumpkin patch run where young participants can dash to the finish line in costume and receive a special prize. The excitement doesn't stop at the finish line. Following the races, the community is invited to enjoy the Haunted Hustle After Party, featuring food trucks, community vendors, bounce houses, face painting, family-friendly activities.

The after-party is free and open to the public, making it the perfect way for everyone to celebrate the fall season, whether they're racing or simply coming out to enjoy the festivities.

"We're excited to welcome runners, families, local businesses, and visitors back for another year of community fun while showcasing everything our downtown has to offer", said Elizabeth Burns, Special Events Coordinator with Culpeper Renaissance, Inc.

Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes, making the event even more festive. Awards will be presented to top finishers and t-shirts and medals for all.

In addition to registration, sponsorship opportunities and community vendor spaces are still available for businesses and organizations wishing to support this exciting community event with a free kid’s activity or giveaway.
