This Chronic Pain Self-Management Program (CPSMP) is a free 2.5-hour session one day a week for six weeks small workshop for persons with any chronic pain (diagnosed or not) and for caregivers of persons with chronic pain. This workshop discusses techniques to deal with fatigue, sleeplessness, stress, and emotional problems such as depression, anger, fear, and frustration, as well as appropriate exercise levels, how our minds affect pain, healthy eating, medication, setting weekly goals and effective problem solving.
This is an evidence-based self-management workshop coordinated locally by Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services (RRCS) and Prince William Area Agency on Aging.
