Charity Crab Feast Returns to Mountain Run Winery on August 29 to Support Operation First Response

Culpeper, VA — The Culpeper Young Professionals invite the community to come together for a memorable afternoon of food, music, and giving back at the 2026 Charity Crab Feast, taking place Saturday, August 29th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

This year’s event proudly benefits Operation First Response (OFR), a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving wounded heroes, disabled veterans, and first responders across the nation. Since 2004, OFR has provided critical financial and emotional support to more than 37,877 families, helping them navigate some of life’s most challenging moments.

OFR’s assistance is both personal and practical, offering aid for essential living needs such as:

• Rent and mortgage payments
• Utilities
• Vehicle payments
• Groceries and clothing
• Travel expenses related to treatment and recovery

Driven by a deep respect for service and sacrifice, Operation First Response serves as a lifeline—bridging the gap between crisis and hope and reflecting the gratitude of a proud nation.

Attendees of the Charity Crab Feast can look forward to a festive, family-friendly atmosphere featuring:

• Fresh steamed crabs
• Low country boil
• Hamburger and hot dog options
• Award-winning beverages by Mountain Run Winery
• Live music from Curt Davis

“This event is about so much more than great food and wine.  It’s about coming together as a community to support an organization doing great work in our community,” said Megan King, Chair of the Culpeper Young Professional Group. 

Proceeds from the event will directly support OFR’s mission, ensuring that more families receive the care and assistance they need during difficult times.

Tickets are on sale now and only $65 through the end of June for all you can eat Crab and Low Country Boil. The price will increase to $75 on July 1st and $85 on August 1st.
